In the Midst of Divine Distillation

According to the French Spiritist, Laurant Mulelet this year, 2011, is the year of spiritual distillation. Teaching Aquarian Alchemy, I know that traditionally, distillation is the sixth major operation in the alchemy of transformation. Chemically, distillation involves boiling and condensing the solution created in the first five alchemical steps. It is undertaken in order to increase purity. Distillation is represented by a compound of two substances that once pressed together make what alchemists called a "bezoar." In humans this is like binding the intestines and brain together as one. In spiritual terms this means during the year of distillation, it is going to take guts (or courage from the gut level) to challenge the mind to go forth and finish the seventh and final stage of the planetary and cosmic transformations underway.
Wisdom as a Leadership Trait

In an article last year, the term “the psychic door” was explained in some depth. Now I’d like to clarify “wisdom,” giving it further meaning. In the Introduction to the Medicine Wheel class, wisdom is presented as more than mere knowledge. Just because a person knows a lot, doesn’t make them wise. I heard many times living in the tribe, wisdom is knowledge and compassion. In actuality, wisdom is ‘high level’ heart chakra activity, the most finely-crafted manifestation of that center’s energy. Similarly, service-to-others is the ‘highest’ form of action in the chakra below the heart—the will or power center. And when high heart activity (wisdom) is coupled with high will chakra activity (service), the soul proves wholly attractive to “the wise-ones,” those intelligences guiding the transformation of Earth from the Piscean to Aquarian times. Such guides find wisdom and service an irresistible combination.

The skills and attitudes required to assist in the healthy development of a soul are often less than evident, even for the most loving adults. Especially when that child will be required to live in a future that no longer follows the template of the past, but rather takes off on a direction of its own. Today’s young will live adult lives not only influenced, but actually dominated by Aquarian energies. These times will demand an altered set of soul traits in order to function well, both as an individual and as a member of Aquarian society. As parents who were brought up at the end of the Piscean Age, we often feel lost and no longer certain what is asked of us. What do these Aquarian souls really need from us?

Recently a student asked me (yes, imagine, a question!): if it’s true that dark, heavy astral beings are repelled by the light, why do some ‘heavies’ showing up in our Ceremonial Circles where we feel so radiant.
